Our client is a young man with Cerebral Palsy who lives in his own home and has some physical and emotional support needs. He enjoys technology and gaming and has interests in history, politics and writing. He also enjoys visits to the cinema and local pub when he chooses to access the community. Our client requires some prompting, supervision and practical support with activities of daily living, whilst being encouraged to maintain his independence and make his own choices. A key part of the role will be to support him to engage in meaningful activities and interests, both at home and within the community, in accordance with his individual preferences and choices. You will be warm, patient and reliable, with excellent communication skills and a consistent, person-centred approach. Flexibility and an ability to recognise when to encourage engagement and when to respect his choices will be important within the role. A full induction and training will be provided.
This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
