Recruitment Consultant – Leeds City Centre
We’re growing our team at Established Search and looking for ambitious, commercially minded people to join us in our Leeds city centre office.
You don’t need previous recruitment experience, and you don’t need to come from a particular academic background.
We’re open to speaking with people from a range of backgrounds, particularly those with experience in sales, estate agency, automotive, SaaS, medical/dental sales, account management, business development, hospitality or other customer-facing environments.
What matters most is your attitude. We’re looking for people who are ambitious, confident speaking with people, commercially minded and motivated by building a career where your performance directly impacts your progression and earning potential.
What do we do?
Established Search is an international recruitment business working with companies across:
- Medical Devices
- MedTech
- Digital Health
- Life Sciences
Our clients range from growing businesses and start-ups through to established global organisations.
We support them in finding specialist and senior talent for their teams across international markets.
What does a Recruitment Consultant actually do?
Recruitment is a combination of sales, relationship building, business development and people management.
You’ll be responsible for developing your own market, building relationships with businesses and professionals and managing recruitment processes from start to finish.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Identifying and approaching potential new clients
- Building relationships with businesses internationally
- Speaking with hiring managers to understand their teams and hiring plans
- Winning new recruitment assignments and vacancies
- Finding and approaching candidates through LinkedIn and other platforms
- Interviewing and qualifying candidates
- Presenting suitable candidates to clients
- Negotiating salaries and offers
- Supporting candidates through resignations and job moves
- Developing long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
- Building your knowledge and reputation within your chosen market
As you progress, you’ll take increasing ownership of your market and develop your own network of clients and candidates.
Who are we looking for?
Previous recruitment experience is not essential.
We’re interested in people who are:
- Ambitious and motivated to progress
- Financially motivated
- Competitive and goal-driven
- Confident communicating with different people
- Comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations
- Resilient and able to deal with setbacks
- Curious and willing to learn
- Commercially minded
- Comfortable working towards targets
- Able to build genuine relationships
If you already work in sales, business development, estate agency, car sales, SaaS, medical/dental sales, insurance, account management or another target-driven role, many of the skills you already have can transfer extremely well into recruitment.
Equally, if you’re at the beginning of your career and believe you have the right attitude and personality, we’re happy to have a conversation.
What can you expect?
A strong commission structure giving you the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings based on your own performance.
Clear opportunities to progress as you develop your market, build revenue and take on greater responsibility.
You’ll work with businesses and candidates across global markets rather than being limited to Leeds or the UK.
As you progress and develop client relationships, there are opportunities to travel internationally and meet clients face-to-face.
Monthly UK incentives alongside annual holiday incentives for high performers.
The team
You’ll be joining a young, ambitious and goal-driven team based together in our Leeds city centre office.
A realistic view of recruitment
Recruitment can be a very rewarding career, but we also want people to understand what they’re applying for.
It’s a commercial and target-driven job. You’ll spend a lot of time speaking with people, making calls, developing new business and putting yourself in situations where the answer might be “no”.
There will be good months and challenging ones.
But for someone who is competitive, resilient, enjoys working with people and wants their performance to directly influence their earnings and progression, it can offer a huge amount of opportunity.
You don’t need to already know how to recruit.. we can teach you that.
We’re much more interested in whether you have the attitude, work ethic and ambition to become good at it.
Whether you already have sales or recruitment experience, are looking to change industries, or simply want to explore a career with more earning and progression potential, we’d be happy to have a conversation.
