Highways Operative: Build, Patch & Maintain Road Network

Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a Highway Operative to carry out minor highway construction, patching, reactive maintenance, and drainage works, plus related grounds maintenance. You will support Highway Team Leaders in inspecting and repairing the network and ensure safety and quality on site.

You will manage traffic on site, respond to emergency callouts, repair fencing, install traffic signs, and operate small plant and tools, with opportunities for career growth within the team.
