Job Title: Warehouse Operative / Van Driver (Mixed Role)

Location: Witham St Hughs (Lincoln)

Pay Rate: £13.02 – £14.73 per hour

Hours: Around 30 per week (Mon-Fri)

Contract: Temporary

Gi Group are recruiting for a reliable Warehouse Operative / Van Driver to join a busy operation supporting both warehouse duties and local multi-drop deliveries. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who’s happy switching between picking/packing and driving as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse duties (primary):
  • Picking and packing orders accurately to deadlines
  • Goods in/out: receiving deliveries, checking paperwork, stock put-away
  • Loading/unloading vehicles (manual handling involved)
  • Stock control, labelling, and maintaining tidy storage areas
  • Using handheld scanners / warehouse systems (where required)
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and compliant with H&S procedures
• Van driving duties (as required):
  • Completing local deliveries and collections in a company van
  • Ensuring deliveries are made on time with proof of delivery captured
  • Planning routes efficiently and communicating delays when needed
  • Basic vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, lights, cleanliness) and reporting defects
  • Safe loading of the van and securing items to prevent damage

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven warehouse experience (picking/packing, goods in/out, loading)
• Proven van driving experience (commercial delivery experience preferred)
• Full UK driving licence (Category B) – essential
• Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong timekeeping and a dependable work ethic
• Confident communicating with colleagues and customers at delivery points
