Digital Workplace Manager

Overview

As Digital Workplace & Microsoft Platforms Lead, you shape the Microsoft estate for IAG Loyalty, guiding strategy and hands-on delivery. You oversee modern workplace technologies, security, and identity, driving value through automation and AI-enabled operations. You’ll lead a blended team and key partners, balancing risk, cost and colleague experience. This role offers impact across technology, security, data protection and the wider business, with a focus on delivering secure, resilient digital workplace services. Your work anchors the transformation of how colleagues experience technology at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction, roadmap and operational performance of Digital Workplace and Microsoft platform estate
• Lead a blended team of internal specialists, contractors and partners with clear accountability across the service
• Drive workspace management roadmap and major Microsoft/workplace technology programmes
• Step in early to mitigate delivery, quality, resourcing or supplier risks
• Act as technical authority across Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, endpoint management and identity governance
• Challenge architecture and security decisions, set standards, and dive into detail when needed
• Improve workplace technology operations with automation, telemetry and AI-enabled approaches
• Manage budgets, licenses, managed services and strategic supplier decisions
• Collaborate across Technology, Security, Data Protection and business units to balance experience, risk and cost
• Consider future shifts such as moving service desk into this area

Key requirements

• Enterprise Microsoft 365, Digital Workplace or workplace technology estate management in complex environments
• Broad, practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra, endpoint management, Office/O365, security and Copilot
• Strong track record leading significant Microsoft/Digital Workplace programmes with roadmaps and delivery oversight
• Experience improving services via automation, telemetry or AI-enabled operations focusing on user experience and performance
• Experience leading blended teams and managing budgets, licenses and supplier performance
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to troubleshoot and own issues rather than purely delegating
