Data Science Manager

Overview

As Data Science Manager in our Payment Intelligence team, you lead a cross-functional group to turn data into production-ready ML solutions that power real-time payment decisions. You shape the roadmap for payment intelligence, delivering high-impact models that improve payment success and reduce fraud. You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to take ideas from concept to production at scale on a GCP/Vertex AI stack. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on data science and delivery, in a mission-driven fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing data science team and guide long-term career growth
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical ML models powering real-time decisions
• Shape the strategic roadmap for Payment Intelligence with high-impact goals
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver end-to-end technical solutions from concept to production
• Bridge technical complexity and business value by communicating ML strategy to senior stakeholders

Key requirements

• 2+ years of people management experience in Data Science within complex domains
• Hands-on leader comfortable contributing to codebase
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL across model lifecycle
• Ability to oversee from prototype to production deployment of models
• Decisive collaborator capable of translating ML concepts for cross-functional stakeholders
• Familiarity with complex data environments; model architectures including deep learning is a plus in fintech/fraud/payments
