National Account Manager

Overview

In this role you will own key grocery accounts and drive growth, profitability and long-term success through customer-focused business plans. You will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver results and maximize distribution and promotional opportunities. You will negotiate, identify opportunities and lead JBPs to align with company objectives. This is a hybrid role based in Trafford Park, offering collaboration with diverse teams and opportunities to shape category growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales, volume and profit targets across your customer portfolio
• Develop and execute annual business plans aligned to customer and company objectives
• Create and deliver Joint Business Plans (JBPs) where appropriate
• Drive increased distribution and visibility of key branded products through permanent and seasonal opportunities
• Plan and deliver profitable promotional activity that generates incremental growth
• Review performance with internal stakeholders and customers, identifying opportunities and addressing challenges
• Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Marketing teams on product launches, development and category opportunities

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing grocery accounts within an FMCG business
• Strong sales, negotiation and influencing skills
• Track record of delivering profitable growth and developing customer relationships
• Excellent commercial awareness and problem-solving capability
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities
• Self-motivated with a drive to continuously improve and adapt
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
• North West base or willingness to work from Trafford Park
