First Line Manager – UK Planning

Overview

As Planning First Line Manager, you lead the UK Inbound planning function, ensuring timely collections with vendors. You will develop people and processes within the Planning and Vendor Communication teams, driving efficiency and collaboration across inbound and outbound operations. You’ll monitor KPIs, push continuous improvement, and strengthen relationships with customers and account teams. This role offers impact through cost savings, improved coordination, and cross-functional leadership within DHL’s global logistics network.

• Lead and develop the Planning team and evolve processes across account areas
• Head the Vendor Communication team to secure next-day collections planning
• Integrate Inbound and Outbound operations to realise synergies and cost savings
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Foster a collaborative team culture and maintain strong relationships with customers and account teams

Key requirements

• Experience with transport and route planning
• Previous team supervisor/management experience
• Paragon Planning tool experience is desirable
• Strategic mindset and problem-solving ability
