Fresh Food Manager

Overview

In this role you lead a fresh food department, ensuring high product availability and outstanding service for the local community. You report to the Store Manager and coach your team to perform confidently in a fast-paced environment. You’ll maintain vibrant, well-stocked counters and uphold food safety standards, while collaborating with other managers to drive a supportive, performance-driven culture. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for growth within Morrisons.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team, including shift scheduling, training and talent development
• Deliver friendly, attentive customer service and keep fresh counters well stocked
• Manage department routines to ensure availability, safety, and legal compliance
• Step in as Manager in Charge to run shifts and handle daily priorities
• Collaborate with other store managers to foster a supportive, performance-driven culture
• Protect food safety standards and maintain smooth day-to-day operations
• Respond to customer and colleague feedback to drive continuous improvement
