Data Transformation Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a large-scale data transformation programme within a leading insurance organisation, supporting the Enterprise Data Platform and ensuring data initiatives deliver measurable business value. You will collaborate with business, IT and data stakeholders to define requirements, manage delivery, and track value from data and AI projects. You will drive change management, governance, quality and compliance across the data value chain. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to shape data capabilities and realise strategic outcomes in a hybrid London environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the data transformation roadmap aligned to business objectives and value
• Lead large-scale data transformation projects from planning through to delivery
• Support implementation and adoption of the Enterprise Data Platform
• Define requirements and deliverables with business, IT, and data teams
• Track value delivered through data and AI initiatives
• Manage project risks, resources, budgets, and milestones
• Drive change management and adoption of new data capabilities
• Ensure strong data governance, quality, and compliance standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale data transformation programmes
• Strong experience delivering transformation in complex enterprise environments
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS and enterprise data architecture
• Strong understanding of data management, governance, quality, and compliance
• Experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle
• Excellent stakeholder management across business, IT, and data teams
• Experience driving change and adoption of new data platforms or capabilities
• Insurance or financial services experience is highly desirable
• Understanding of the data value chain and business value of data
