Client Accountant – Funds (UK Fully Remote)

Overview

As an Associate in our remote accounting team, you act as the front-line contact for designated private equity, real estate, credit, or debt fund clients, coordinating day-to-day deliverables with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. You review financial statements to ensure UK GAAP or IFRS compliance, validate investor drawdowns and distributions, and mentor junior colleagues. You drive process improvements to balance stakeholder needs and mitigate risk while aligning with the firm’s cross-functional support model.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships for designated Private Equity clients, overseeing deliverables, timelines, and communications with CFOs/financial controllers
• Review quarterly/annual financial statements for UK GAAP or IFRS compliance with Manager and Technical & Training teams
• Validate investor drawdown and distribution calculations, ensuring accurate fund movements and clear cash communication to investors
• Mentor and support junior team members while developing expertise in client-specific accounting frameworks (per LPA)
• Drive process improvements, balance stakeholder needs, and optimize workflows to reduce risk and improve efficiency

Key requirements

• Higher education qualification (e.g., IATI)
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, or equivalent
• 3+ years in professional office environment, ideally financial services or accounting practice managing multiple client relationships
• Strong accounting expertise, including reviewing working papers and financial statements with disclosures
• Proven experience managing client relationships and resolving issues with clients in a professional manner
• Ability to support and mentor junior team members and apply intermediate Excel skills
