What you will do
- Conduct thorough risk assessments of children and families, managing a complex caseload involving court work and permanency planning.
- Provide a preventative and rehabilitative service, enabling children to remain with their families where possible.
- Respond promptly to situations where children are at risk, providing an emergency service as needed.
- Collaborate with different sections of the department and external agencies to promote solid childcare practice.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training, contributing to the knowledge pool of our service.
- Supervise family support workers and student placements, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
- Represent the department in multi-agency forums, strengthening partnerships with health, housing, and other community services.
