- Lead and manage a team of specialist officers responsible for contract management and compliance within the waste management functions
- Oversee day-to-day operations of high-value waste management contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide senior-level technical support to the council’s contract management functions, offering expert guidance during contract meetings
- Deputise for the Head of Service when required, representing the council at regional and national forums
- Analyse complex data, draw actionable insights, and recommend solutions to enhance service quality
- Lead strategic waste management projects, implement policy changes, and ensure effective service delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, managing service provider performance and negotiations
