Some finance people are at their best when the brief is simple: here is the business, make the numbers right.
To be able to do this at the heart of an organisation going through a major transformation adds an exciting dimension to the role – it means you have the platform to come in and make your mark
If that is you, read on.
A global manufacturer needs someone to take hold of its UK accounting and run it properly.
That means the reporting, the VAT, the tax, and the conversations with auditors and HMRC.
Not just that, you will bring ideas on how things can be improved, know what good looks like and are passionate about leaving a positive legacy behind on finishing this assignment.
A clear brief and a group deadline, with the numbers carrying your name.
What six to nine months gets you
- Authority. You become the person people ask, across UK GAAP, IFRS, VAT and corporation tax.
- Scope. Interim hands you the whole picture, which usually takes a promotion.
- An international group on your CV, then your pick of what comes next.
- A week that works. Three days on site in North Yorkshire, two remote, with a second Yorkshire site possible to work at depending on where you live.
We are thinking of qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountants with strong IFRS and UK GAAP who have worked alongside external auditors.
SAP or multinational/multi-entity experience is a bonus.
