The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in Normanton. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join the team on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidates.

Pay Rates
HGV Class 2 – Nights
- £16.16 per hour
HGV Class 1 – Nights
- £17.80 per hour
- Increasing to £18.55 per hour after 12 weeks
Shift Pattern
Nights – Class 1 & Class 2
- Shifts available across Monday to Sunday
- Typically 23:59 starts
The Role
As an HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of palletised parcels between delivery units and couriers.
Your duties will include:
- Safely transporting palletised parcels
- Completing regular runs between delivery units and couriers
- Collecting and delivering goods between sites
- Loading and unloading the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck where required
- Completing and maintaining accurate paperwork
- Working safely and efficiently at all times
- Representing the company professionally when dealing with customers and delivery teams
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with the relevant Class 1 / Category C+E or Class 2 / Category C entitlement
- Minimum 6 months’ experience on your HGV licence
- Valid DCPC/CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 points on your licence (minor offences only)
- Good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation
- Willingness to complete a short driving assessment
- Excellent communication skills
- A professional and safety-conscious approach to driving
