Job responsibilities

• Delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care to patients across general ward and Emergency Department settings.




• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in line with Trust policies and NMC standards.




• Administering medication and carrying out clinical observations, escalating concerns promptly and appropriately.




• Maintaining accurate and timely patient records and documentation.




• Working collaboratively with doctors, healthcare assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Job Purpose

• To support the Trust in maintaining safe staffing levels across general and emergency care during long day and night shifts.




• To provide consistent, compassionate care that upholds patient dignity and wellbeing.




• To contribute to the smooth running of busy clinical areas, including the rapid assessment and prioritisation of patients in the Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Current NMC PIN.




• Recent Emergency Department experience for ED shifts.
