Lead Nurse for Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition

• Supporting approximately 60 home patients on IV fluids and Home Parenteral Nutrition including prescriptions.
• Involves liaising with commercial home care companies (x 4) for home patient reviews and service review meetings.
• Managing the enteral nursing team.
• Supporting complex nutrition patient MDT’s.
• Liaising with other HPN centres (RBH is one of 22 HPN centres).
• Managing IF Database and supporting national data submissions.
• Supporting other local hospitals e.g.RSCH, Basingstoke, Frimley, with HPN remote discharges.
• Daily inpatient PN ward rounds (leading the team during Consultant absence).
• Supporting general nutrition within the hospital e.g. Nutrition Steering Committee (NSC); dietitians and MUST scoring; fluid balance, etc.Reading sits on the river Thames and is served by great road and rail links to London, Oxford and Southampton.
