Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with an established food manufacturer in Hull to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Nights). Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you’ll help maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the site.
The Opportunity :
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Nights), you’ll play a key role in:
– Maintaining, fault-finding and repairing production machinery to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations.– Responding effectively to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing improvements to minimise recurring issues.– Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), supporting equipment commissioning and contributing to engineering improvement projects.– Working collaboratively with production colleagues to support daily start-ups, maintain high standards of food safety and ensure effective communication across departments.– Supporting apprentices, sharing technical knowledge and promoting safe working practices, good housekeeping and continuous improvement.-Your work will directly contribute to improved production efficiency, reduced downtime and the smooth running of a busy manufacturing operation.
About You: We’re looking for someone who can bring:
– An HNC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.– Must have a multi-skilled engineering background, with confidence in mechanical and electrical fault-finding.-Ideally have 17th Edition or 18th Edition– Experience maintaining and repairing equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.– A proactive, safety-conscious approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.– Good communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.-Any Experience within FMCG would be advantageous, but a pro-active attitude and sound multi-skilled experience is critical-You don’t need to meet every desirable criterion to apply.
