Location: London
Job Description:

This role is with one of Dex’s trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they’re looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

The role

Organisations sit on mountains of untapped data from existing sensors and cameras. This company turns that into real-time operational intelligence, helping teams detect threats, retrace events, and act decisively—without costly hardware overhauls. They’re a rapidly scaling, seed-stage team, built on radical candor and high individual autonomy. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll own the customer’s window into this intelligence. This isn’t just building dashboards; it’s crafting the core interfaces that transform raw sensor data into navigable, real-time insight, then extending those foundations for diverse customer workflows. Expect end-to-end ownership within a small, high-autonomy team, taking concepts from prototype to robust, scalable execution.

The work

  • Architect and build core frontend components that transform complex, real-time sensor data into intuitive, navigable operational intelligence.
  • Drive the end-to-end development of customer-specific workflows, extending the platform’s foundational interfaces across diverse sectors.
  • Translate high-level concepts and prototypes into production-ready features, ensuring robust and scalable abstractions for rapid growth.
  • Collaborate closely with a small, autonomous engineering team, often owning entire frontend workstreams from design to deployment.
  • Ensure performance and responsiveness for dynamic interfaces handling continuous data streams.

What You Bring

  • Significant production experience with React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS, including comfort with gRPC/protobuf at the API layer.
  • Proven ability to build performant, dynamic interfaces for complex data visualization, prioritizing clarity and ease of understanding.
  • Deep comfort with real-time data flows and asynchronous patterns (WebSockets, web workers).
  • Track record of writing testable, reusable code, with experience maintaining design systems and using testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest, Jest, Playwright).
  • A strong, demonstrated sense of user experience, accessibility, and visual design.
