Investigo is proud to be partnering with the Freedom Fund, a truly exceptional global NGO at the forefront of the fight against modern slavery.

Since 2014, the organisation has invested over $100m into frontline organisations across Africa, Asia and South America, supporting survivors, strengthening communities and driving systemic change. Their ambition is bold, their impact is tangible, and their culture is collaborative, values-driven and genuinely inspiring.

The Freedom Fund is seeking an experienced Head of HR to lead the global people agenda across a workforce of approximately 70 employees spanning 10 countries. Reporting to the Managing Director, Finance & Operations and sitting on the Wider Management Team, the successful candidate will shape organisational culture, lead change initiatives, drive employee engagement and wellbeing, oversee global reward and workforce planning, and ensure an outstanding employee experience across the organisation.

Managing a small team and working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, they will help ensure the organisation remains effective, compliant and equipped to deliver its ambitious global strategy.

Key Programmes & Strategic Priorities

This role will be instrumental in shaping the organisation’s next phase of growth and impact through a number of significant people and organisational initiatives, including:

  • Shaping and embedding the organisation’s people and culture strategy.
  • Leading the people aspects of the EDIB action plan, strengthening representation, inclusion and belonging across a global workforce.
  • Strengthening global HR policies, frameworks and governance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Leading organisational change and supporting the continued evolution of the global operating model.
  • Continuing to foster an inclusive, high-performing culture across diverse countries, cultures and employment environments.
  • Leading global reward activity, including pay reviews, benchmarking and remuneration projects.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, providing support and challenge through periods of growth, change and transformation.

This is a highly rewarding but genuinely complex leadership role requiring a commercially minded, resilient and adaptable HR professional who is comfortable operating across both strategic and operational agendas.

About You

You will be an experienced and credible HR leader with:

  • Significant generalist HR leadership experience within an NGO, charity, international development or donor-funded environment.
  • Strong expertise in employee relations, organisational change and people transformation.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed and internationally based workforces.
  • The ability to operate strategically whilst remaining comfortable in a hands-on environment.
  • A CIPD qualification (Level 5+) or equivalent professional experience.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to combine strategic leadership with meaningful social impact, this is a rare chance to join an organisation changing lives around the world.
