Residential Conveyancer – Colchester

Overview

In this role you will handle a full spectrum of residential conveyancing tasks within an Essex firm. You will work closely with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals to move sales, purchases and remortgages through to completion. The work spans freehold/leasehold matters, title checks, contract drafting and handling exchanges. You’ll contribute to a busy team by delivering accurate, efficient service and maintaining strong client relationships. This is a chance to support a reputable practice while developing expertise in residential property across a high-volume caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full range of residential conveyancing matters (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity)
• Advise on freehold and leasehold properties, including lease extensions
• Conduct title checks, prepare contracts, and oversee exchange and completion
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other legal professionals

Key requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of property transactions and conveyancing processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
