Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead the commercial management of multiple projects within a small, client-focused team. You’ll work on residential and commercial schemes up to £8m, reporting to the Managing Surveyor and developing strong client relationships to secure future work. The position offers exposure to a growing order book and opportunities to deliver prominent projects from Colchester and the wider Essex/South East area. You will contribute to a transparent service and solid staff development within a stable, reputable contractor. This is a chance to shape project outcomes across new-build, refurbishment and restoration work while advancing your contracting career.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial management for up to three projects concurrently
• Maintain up-to-date cost control, procurement and contract administration
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to build relationships and secure repeat business
• Report to the Managing Surveyor and collaborate with the small commercial team
• Support delivery of residential and commercial schemes ranging up to £8m in value

Key requirements

• Proven track record managing multiple projects of similar size and type for a main contractor
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build lasting relationships
• Experience on residential and commercial projects, including new-build, refurbishment or restoration
• Ability to manage projects from multiple opportunities and support from Colchester and Essex/South East sites
