Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor role within Galliford Trys Building London South East team. You will oversee commercial delivery from tender to final account, manage subcontract packages, and lead risk and cost control activities. The position emphasizes detailed reporting, cost planning, and mentoring junior surveyors. Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects from tender to final account, including required contractual notices
• Oversee subcontract works packages, interim assessments, and change management
• Lead commercial risk management and mitigation activities
• Produce and present monthly reports and Cost Valuation Reconciliations (CVR)
• Maintain a detailed Cost Plan with forecasting and subcontractor liabilities; utilise Oracle-based cost analyses
• Develop and supervise junior Quantity Surveyors within the unit

Key requirements

• Degree and/or relevant experience in a commercial environment (unknown specifics)
• CSCS certificate
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract and experience using Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle)
• Desirable professional qualification such as MCIOB or MRICS (ideally Incorporated member, or working towards full membership)
