Mechanical Engineer

PPM Recruitment are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer in the London, SW15 area

The role is working within a hospital managing, maintaining, and repairing critical building services and physical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and inspect mechanical plant and equipment throughout the hospital.
• Work on heating, ventilation, air:conditioning, hot and cold:water systems, pumps, boilers and associated mechanical services.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and undertake repairs where appropriate.
• Ensure engineering systems comply with relevant health and safety, statutory and healthcare requirements.
• Monitor contractors and specialist engineering service providers.
• Assist with engineering projects, refurbishment works and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Respond effectively to breakdowns and emergencies affecting critical hospital services.
• Work closely with clinical departments, Estates staff and external contractors.
• Participate in an on:call or emergency response rota where required.

Must have mechanical background

Mon to Fri : 40 hours a week

DBS required

GBP24.00 per hour
