We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Company Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Group CFO, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in financial reporting, governance and commercial finance activities within a dynamic and expanding healthcare organisation.
This is a hands-on role for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining robust financial controls and supporting business growth through high-quality financial information and analysis.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting and finance activities, including:
Financial Reporting & Control
- Preparation of monthly management accounts at both entity and group level.
- Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Posting and review of journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Ensuring an accurate and timely month-end close process.
Commercial Finance Support
Working closely with the Group CFO to support:
- Working capital management.
- Cash flow forecasting.
- Lender covenant reporting.
- Private Equity KPI reporting.
- Financial modelling and business analysis.
Governance & Compliance
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and external audits.
- Maintaining robust financial controls and audit trails.
- Liaising with external tax advisers, auditors and payroll providers.
- Ensuring compliance with internal governance and reporting requirements.
Team & Process Improvement
- Providing support and guidance to finance team colleagues.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
Job Requirements
Essential Criteria
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong experience in management accounting and balance sheet control
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, private equity-owned business
- High attention to detail and strong professional judgement
Desirable Criteria
- Healthcare, multi-site or regulated services experience.
- Exposure to audit or private equity-backed businesses.
- Experience improving finance processes or controls.
