Civil Engineer – Water

Overview

As a Civil Engineer in our Brighton-based Water division, you will shape major water infrastructure projects that adapt to climate change and benefit communities. You’ll lead civil engineering design and teams, collaborating with project leads to ensure successful delivery for top UK clients. You’ll work across lifecycle stages—from concept to detailed design—in areas like clean water, wastewater, and urban drainage. This role offers access to Stantec’s global expertise to deliver innovative solutions within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design for projects
• Direct civil engineering teams and collaborate with project design leads
• Ensure successful delivery and client outcomes across lifecycle stages
• Contribute to innovative design solutions leveraging global expertise
• Engage with clients and stakeholders in a formal client-facing capacity

Key requirements

• Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or CIWEM
• Experience as a Civil Engineer on water, environment, or related infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to deliver projects and work with cross-functional teams
