Head of HR / Aspiring HR Director | High-Growth Multi-Site Business
London | Up to £100,000 | Onsite
Sanderson King is supporting a high-growth, founder-led and investor-backed multi-site business with the appointment of a Head of HR / aspiring HR Director.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious, hands-on HR leader to take ownership of the People agenda and help build the HR function for a business entering a significant period of expansion.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within multi-site, clinics, healthcare, dental, veterinary, wellness, hospitality, retail or similarly operational environments and understand the challenges of scaling teams across physical locations.
The opportunity
Working closely with the Founder & CEO and senior leadership team, you will:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day HR function and evolving People strategy
- Build scalable HR processes, policies, systems and ways of working
- Support significant headcount growth and new-site openings
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding across multiple locations
- Manage ER, performance, reward, engagement and retention
- Develop managers and strengthen leadership capability
- Help shape organisational structures as the business grows
- Create consistency across a rapidly expanding multi-site estate
- Develop HR data, reporting and people metrics to support better decision-making
- Support culture and engagement through a significant period of change
- Work closely with the Founder and leadership team on key People and organisational priorities
- Build the HR function and team further as the organisation scales
About you
You may already be operating as a Head of HR, or perhaps you’re a strong Senior HR Business Partner / People Lead ready to step into your first overall HR leadership position.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced within a multi-site or operationally complex business
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Commercial as well as technically strong across HR
- Able to move between strategic projects and hands-on delivery
- Confident partnering directly with Founders and senior leadership
- Experienced supporting growth, transformation or new-site expansion
- Pragmatic, resilient and comfortable building rather than inheriting
- Ambitious to develop into a broader HR Director-level role as the business grows
Experience within a founder-led, PE/VC/investor-backed or high-growth organisation would be particularly relevant.
This isn’t a role for someone looking to manage an established corporate HR function. It’s an opportunity to build, influence and grow with the business.
Location: Central London
Working pattern: Onsite – candidates must be able to commit to up to 5 days per week
