Director of Sales – Diplomatic Segment

Overview

In this role you will lead revenue growth in the diplomatic, governmental, and supranational segments, cultivating high-trust partnerships and positioning the hotel as the preferred residence for official visits. You will manage current and new accounts, drive group, catering, and individual stays, and represent the hotel at relevant trade shows. You’ll contribute to the annual sales and marketing plan and track ROI, while inspiring the team to deliver a consistent, exceptional guest experience. This is a high-profile, externally facing role requiring gravitas, cultural fluency, and impeccable judgment.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue within the diplomatic segment and related accounts
• Maintain and expand current and new accounts across group, catering, and individual stays
• Conduct client meetings to pursue new business opportunities and sustain relationships
• Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events
• Contribute to the annual sales and marketing plan and monitor ROI
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align with hotel business needs and deliver guest experience
• Foster high-trust partnerships and position the hotel for official visits and missions

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in service and hospitality industry
• University or Hotel School diploma or degree
• Fully networked in the Diplomatic segment
• Multilingual capability is highly desirable
• Strong strategic planning skills
• Commercial acumen with ability to take calculated risks
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
• Microsoft package skills, Delphi knowledge, and Opera (desirable)
• Experience in growing customer relationships and working with GSO networks
