Overview
In this role you will manage residential conveyancing matters in Ashford, supporting clients through sales, purchases, remortgages, and related transactions. You will work within a well-regarded private practice, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate advice and high service levels. You will handle contract drafting, property searches, and liaison with clients, agents, and solicitors, while staying compliant with changing property laws. Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of residential property matters from inception to completion (sales/purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions)
- Provide expert legal advice and maintain high service levels for clients
- Conduct legal research, prepare documentation, and liaise with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors
- Draft contracts, perform property searches, and handle all aspects of property transactions
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, estate agents, and other professionals involved in property transactions
- Stay updated with changes in property laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate advice
Key requirements
- Qualified lawyer with NQ-6 years PQE in Residential Conveyancing
- Strong knowledge of property law and conveyancing procedures, particularly within the Kent region
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport
