Project Manager – BMS (contract)

Overview

As a BMS Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of varied BMS projects in London and surrounding areas. You’ll coordinate with customers, manage budgets and schedules, and guide commissioning teams to meet quality and performance targets. The role combines technical BMS leadership with commercial oversight to ensure profitable, on-time project realization. You’ll stay current with industry developments and apply them to projects, working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup. This contract role offers a high-profile portfolio and a flexible work model with a competitive outside IR35 rate.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract meetings and track project status from handover to completion
• Collaborate with customers to capture site-specific requirements
• Provide technical guidance across BMS projects
• Manage budgets, supplier orders, and cash flow
• Design control strategies, point lists and system descriptions for commissioning
• Stay updated on industry developments and apply them to projects

Key requirements

• Proven project management experience in BMS/BEMS
• Strong knowledge of Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens systems
• Good understanding of M&E principles as they apply to BMS
• Commercial awareness with ability to maximise profitability
• Confident IT skills with ability to train/mentor others
