The job itself

This is a hand-on, end-to-end security role as the company’s only dedicated Security Engineer on a large-scale AI companionship platform. Day-to-day, the person will review code, drive vulnerability remediation with developers, coordinate pen tests and audits, maintain the risk register, monitor threats, manage device and access security, and track AI-specific risks such as prompt injection and jailbreaks.

Day to day that means this is a hand-on, end-to-end security role as the company’s only dedicated Security Engineer on a large-scale AI companionship platform. Day-to-day, the person will review code, drive vulnerability remediation with developers, coordinate pen tests and audits, maintain the risk register, monitor threats, manage device and access security, and track AI-specific risks such as prompt injection and jailbreaks. It is a fully remote European B2B contractor position (€65k-€115k depending on level) that is technical and independent, not a compliance-only or advisory role. In short: Security Engineering + Application Security & Code Review + GRC & Risk Ownership + AI Platform Security (NSFW AI Companionship) Please see here all details + Screening Rules here.

What you need to bring

  • Explicitly confirmed comfort with adult/NSFW content (probe in the screening call, as this is a stated deal-breaker)
  • Based in Europe, approximately 80% CET overlap, occasional evening/weekend monitoring
  • Able to own security independently without a large team, including GRC basics such as a risk register
  • Experience conducting or coordinating security audits and penetration tests
  • Experience in an AI company or a scale-up with 50+ employees
  • Practical engineering capability: Git/GitHub plus Python/Bash or equivalent, working with code rather than just policy
  • 2-3+ years of hand-on AppSec experience, having personally identified and resolved vulnerabilities, with demonstrable code review experience

Around five weeks from applying to your first day on the ground.

We are an equal-opportunity recruiter and consider every applicant on ability alone.
