We know that our people are our greatest asset, and we are delighted to be recruiting for a Learning and Development Coordinator, focused on partnering with our Manufacturing functions and their respective People Business Partners to develop colleague capability across our Manufacturing, Recycling and Supply Chain functions.
This is a hands-on operational partnering role, focused on enabling managers to develop themselves and their teams by providing expertise, guidance and challenge, and enabling managers to retain ownership whilst embedding a culture of learning and continuous improvement through practical training, workplace coaching and skills assessments.
WHAT OUR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATORS DO:Conduct training needs analysis and skills assessments to identify capability gaps and development requirementsDesign, deliver and evaluate practical training and development solutions supporting operational performanceDeliver engaging classroom, virtual, workshop, and workplace-based learning interventionsCoach and support colleagues, team leaders and managers to develop skills, competence and confidenceAssess competence and contribute to robust training validation processes to ensure learning is embeddedCoach team leaders and managers to build their confidence in developing, coaching, and assessing their teamsWork with manufacturing management teams to ensure effective role-specific induction programmes are in placeFacilitate elements of induction and onboarding activity for new starters where requiredSupport within the Apprenticeship onboarding, development and develop further learning opportunities to support skills growth
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATORS:Previous experience delivering training, development and coaching within a manufacturing environment or similar could be an advantageStrong facilitation, presentation and communication skillsAbility to engage learners at all levels and adapt training approaches to meet operational needsProven knowledge within training and development with the ability to design, deliver and evaluate practical learning solutionsPractical, hands-on approach with the ability to build credibility quickly with operational teamsAbility to provide constructive feedback, coaching and support to improve performance and competenceKnowledge of apprenticeship standards and development pathways is desirableL&D or a training related qualification could be an advantage
