Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in manufacturing?
Were looking for a proactive and organised Tactical Buyer to manage purchasing activities, maintain supplier relationships and ensure materials are available to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities
Managing purchase orders and ensuring materials are delivered on time.
Negotiating prices and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Monitoring stock levels and preventing material shortages.
Building supplier relationships and improving supplier performance.
Maintaining accurate purchasing records and bills of materials.
Chasing urgent orders and resolving supply issues.
Working closely with production, stores and internal teams.
Supporting stocktakes and improving stock control processes.
Ensuring materials meet required quality standards.
About You
23 years experience in a buying or stores role within manufacturing.
Strong negotiation, organisational and communication skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
