Staffline Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, Hurricane Windows & Doors, for an experienced Order Processor to join their team at their manufacturing facility in Ballymoney.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete order process, from initial customer order entry through to production scheduling and delivery planning, ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with customer specifications.
Salary: £38,000 per annumContract: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: BallymoneyWorking Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 12:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer orders using Business Micros and the company’s ERP/MRP system.
- Review and verify product specifications, including dimensions, colours, foils, hardware, glazing, thresholds, opening directions, and any special requirements.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of glass specifications and glass make-up.
- Check that products can be manufactured within specified size limits and ensure profile compatibility based on site requirements.
- Create, check, and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure all required components are correctly specified.
- Issue order acknowledgements and process order amendments before production begins.
- Identify and escalate non-standard, complex, or technically challenging orders.
- Ensure orders meet relevant customer specifications and applicable safety glazing, PAS 24, and energy performance requirements.
- Monitor material availability and adjust production schedules where necessary.
- Release orders to production in line with agreed deadlines and manufacturing requirements.
- Liaise closely with production, purchasing, sales, and quality departments to ensure a smooth order-to-delivery process.
- Maintain accurate order records and ensure all information is correctly updated within the relevant systems.
- Help resolve order discrepancies and production-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in an Order Processing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Business Micros or similar order processing software is essential.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of window and door manufacturing processes would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of glass specifications and configurations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple orders, and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, methodical approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
