Packaging & Product Designer

Company: Craft Agency Ltd.
Apply for the Packaging & Product Designer
Location: Manchester
Job Description:

Most packaging design jobs are maintenance – you inherit a visual system someone else built and keep it running. This isn’t that.

You’d own the physical identity of one of Europe’s number-one cosmetic brands – product, packaging and PR boxes – at the moment it’s moving from online cult favourite to serious high-street and premium-retail players. That means your work isn’t back-catalogue upkeep; it’s the brand’s physical face during a genuine land-grab.

The Role

You’ll take products from the first sketch to the finished item on a shelf – not concept decks handed off to someone else. You sit with product development from the earliest idea, turning concepts into 2D and 3D drawings, technical specs and 3D‑printed mock‑ups, then work directly with suppliers through sampling and sign off on production quality yourself.

You’ll design packaging and PR boxes built to show up in unboxing content, prepare print-ready artwork for production and international markets, and track where the category is heading to shape range direction. Design is pulled into the room from the first concept session here, not treated as the final step. Within twelve months, the expectation is that a material, format or product idea you sourced makes it into the range.

The Package

  • £40,000 – £45,000
  • Hybrid working
  • 25 days holiday
  • Enhanced pension
  • Healthcare benefits

The Person

You’re a product, accessory or packaging Designer with around four years’ experience, including time inside a beauty or consumer goods brand.

You’ve taken products through sampling to finished production and dealt directly with suppliers on proofs, cutting templates and deadlines. You hand a printer files that need no correction, you know cosmetics labelling rules, and you’re genuinely hands‑on across sketching, CAD and spec packs.
