Pay Rate: £30-£40 per hour
About the Role
Eden Brown are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and dedicated Computer Science Lecturer to join a Further Education College in Greater Manchester on a temporary, full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lecturer or an industry professional with a passion for education to support students in developing their knowledge, technical skills, and understanding of Computer Science and IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Computer Science lessons to FE students.
- Teach relevant Computer Science and IT topics in line with the curriculum.
- Prepare learning materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, and student performance.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment.
- Support students in developing the practical and theoretical skills required for further study and employment.
Requirements
- A degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related subject.
- Previous teaching or lecturing experience within Further Education is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to student achievement, engagement, and progression.
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to undertake the appropriate safeguarding checks.
