Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services Design

Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in a National building services practice, you will contribute to multi-sector projects from London and collaborate with the Solihull Electrical team. You’ll shape electrical designs, coordinate projects, and support business development. You’ll work with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions across Commercial, Residential, Hotels, Education and Healthcare. This role offers a chance to lead junior engineers and influence project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Project coordination across projects
• Lighting design using Dialux
• Electrical design calculations with Amtech
• Attend and contribute in project meetings
• Liaise with internal and external design teams
• Supervise junior staff
• Ensure QA system compliance
• Involvement in marketing and work-winning activities

Key requirements

• ≥5 years of experience in Electrical Building Services design
• A recognised electrical engineering qualification
• Strong communication with staff at all levels and across disciplines
• Proven ability to communicate with clients
