Broster Buchanan is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, growing business on the Wirral to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This is a highly visible role within a supportive finance team, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making, improve processes and drive business performance. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting strategic decision-making and partnering with stakeholders across the wider business.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional month-end role. You’ll be heavily involved in analysing business performance, providing commercial insight and helping leadership teams understand the financial drivers behind key decisions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact while developing their career within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
- Delivering insightful variance analysis and commentary
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Business partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders
- Supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis
- Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve performance
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end controls
- Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting processes
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance systems
- Commercially minded with a desire to add value beyond the numbers
- Ambitious and keen to develop within a progressive business
