Founding Mechanical Engineer — Equity & Impact

Temperate is developing a radiative cooling system to cut energy use in refrigeration applications. The founder engineer will own the product workstream from TRL 5 to TRL 7, defining the engineering roadmap, thermodynamics models, specifications, manufacturer engagements, and the technical voice in deployments.

The role is based in Oxford with two on-site days per week and occasional site visits to customers and partners. You will turn lab innovations into deployable systems with scale in mind.
