The Plough is a vibrant, community-focused pub in Hemel Hempstead, serving fresh, delicious Great British classics alongside our popular 7 day a week, Gold Standard Carvery. From family meals and casual drinks to private celebrations and events in our beautiful spaces, there’s always something happening and no two days are the same.
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic General Manager to uphold the exceptionally high standards The Plough has in place.
As part of a growing, privately owned Pub Group, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a business that genuinely values its people and guests.
Key General Manager Attributes
- An experienced GM with great leadership capability
- Competent in kitchen oversight and the control of food production
- An expert in quality food and drink, with high attention to detail
- A strategic commercially minded operator with experience of growing hospitality businesses
- Diligent with brand standards and processes
- Understanding the guests needs and responding to market demand
- Flawless execution of the offer
- Creation of sales driving activities on a regular basis
- Coaching and guiding the team – to get the best out of them every day
- Financial management of the business to deliver profit growth
- All aspects of licensing, food and health & safety compliance in line with the law
