We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established and growing construction contractor delivering high-profile refurbishment and fit-out projects across Scotland.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Contracts Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple complex projects within live and operational environments.
n
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, to a high standard and within budget.

The Role of the Contracts Manager:
n
n
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from contract award through to successful completion and handover.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
- n
- n
Managing multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects from commencement through to completion
- n
Leading and supporting Site Managers, Project Managers and wider project teams
- n
Managing subcontractors and maintaining strong supply-chain relationships
- n
Monitoring project programmes, costs and commercial performance
- n
Managing procurement and subcontract packages
- n
Working closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- n
Identifying and managing project risks
- n
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements
- n
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality
- n
Attending site and client meetings
- n
Providing regular updates and reporting on project progress
- n
Supporting the commercial team with variations, valuations and contractual matters
- n
Ensuring successful project handover and close-out

Requirements of the Contracts Manager:
n
n
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in construction, refurbishment or fit-out.
n
You will ideally have:
n
- n
- n
Proven experience managing multiple construction projects
- n
Experience within refurbishment, fit-out or complex commercial environments
- n
Strong knowledge of construction programmes and project delivery
- n
Excellent subcontractor and supply-chain management skills
- n
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- n
Experience managing client relationships
- n
Excellent communication and leadership skills
- n
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against tight programmes
- n
A relevant construction qualification or equivalent industry experience
n

Experience working within live or operational environments would be highly advantageous.
n
