Pertemps are recruiting for a Communications Assistant for our public sector client. 

Role – Communications AssistantLocation – Edinburgh City CentreWorking arrangements – Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office (Wednesday and 1 other day) Working hours – Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week Pay rate – £16.07 – £18.34 per hour (depending on experience) Start date – immediate Duration – Until end of March 2027

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Assistant to support the delivery of creative campaigns and communications activities across a wide range of platforms. Key responsibilities:

• Support the development and delivery of creative marketing/communications/media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.

n

• Assist in managing content for online channels including social media and web.

n

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and effective project delivery.

n

• Monitor campaign and communications activity performance and gather insights for reporting and optimisation.

n

• Assist in creating engaging marketing and media/PR materials such as blog posts, graphics, and video content.

n

• Contribute ideas for improving campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A keen eye for detail and a creative mindset.

• Experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation is a plus.

• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• A passion for creative writing and delivering messages that resonate with audiences.

• An eye for design and experience in producing materials in Word, PowerPoint and Canva is essential as is experience in creating content, filming and editing videos
