Blue Arrow is recruiting for an Assistant Transport Manager to join a major distribution operation in Bellshill. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Transport Supervisor, Transport Shift Manager, Deputy Transport Manager or Assistant Transport Manager looking to progress their career within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off Days 06:00 – 18:00
Salary Up to £44,000
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of a busy 24/7 transport operation, leading transport teams, driving compliance, managing fleet performance and ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating transport teams
- Managing driver resource and transport plans
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and regulations
- Overseeing fleet availability, maintenance and service schedules
- Monitoring KPIs, budgets and operational performance
- Supporting customer service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Deputising for the Transport Manager when required
