Role Description The Field Sales Manager – Southern Territory is a proactive, relationship-led and commercially disciplined field-sales role. The successful candidate will develop the assigned territory, protect and grow existing distributor relationships, identify and convert suitable new opportunities, and ensure that customer activity is followed by accurate records, clear actions and reliable internal handovers.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable success in business-to-business field sales, territory management, account development or a comparable customer-facing commercial role working to agreed targets.
- Ability to protect and grow existing customer relationships while also creating and progressing new-business opportunities.
- Strong territory, diary and journey planning, with the self-discipline to balance customer visits, prospecting, follow-up, reporting and administration.
- Consultative selling ability: listens, asks effective questions, identifies the real customer need and presents relevant product or service solutions.
- Commercial and numerical awareness sufficient to discuss value, margin, discounts, pipeline, forecast, priorities and return on activity.
- Professional written, telephone, video and face-to-face communication skills, with the ability to influence decision makers credibly.
- Natural rapport builder able to develop credible relationships at multiple levels, equally comfortable with account managers, buyers, senior leadership, owners and directors.
