Are you an experienced employer engagement, recruitment or business development professional who thrives on building meaningful partnerships?

At Futures, we’re looking for a Strategic Employer Development Lead to develop employer relationships that create real opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. You’ll work with employers across a range of sectors, helping to shape recruitment pathways, influence workforce planning and drive social impact through sustainable employment opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

• Building and managing strategic employer partnerships
• Developing an employer engagement strategy aligned to contract and organisational goals
• Creating pathways into employment, work placements, apprenticeships and work trials
• Championing inclusive recruitment and helping employers remove barriers to employment
• Using labour market intelligence to identify opportunities and inform programme design
• Representing Futures across business, employer and stakeholder networks

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, employability or business development
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Commercial awareness, negotiation and influencing skills
• Knowledge of employability, skills or welfare-to-work programmes
• A genuine passion for social mobility and improving employment outcomes for disadvantaged communities
