Transport Customer Account Manager
Location: Aston, Birmingham – you will also spend 2 days in Tamworth
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Are you an experienced transport or logistics professional with a passion for customer service and building strong relationships?
We’re looking for a Transport Customer Account Manager to join a busy, fast-paced transport operation in Aston. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, organised individual who can coordinate daily transport requirements, resolve operational challenges and deliver outstanding customer service.
The Role
- Manage daily customer transport volumes, ensuring requirements are planned and communicated effectively.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, updates and service issues.
- Liaise with transport operations and planning teams to resolve challenges and maintain service levels.
- Monitor transport movements and proactively keep customers informed.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records on transport management systems and produce reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Experience in container logistics, maritime transport or transport planning would be advantageous.
