Overview
In this role you lead the design and delivery of building services within a collaborative team, shaping sustainable, energy-conscious projects across sectors. You will guide system strategies, model and analyze performance, and ensure on-budget delivery while mentoring colleagues. The opportunity spans international projects from science and industry to healthcare and education, with a strong emphasis on renewables, energy modelling, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of building services systems across projects
- Develop system strategies and coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
- Guide thermal and comfort analysis of spaces
- Manage production of models, drawings, reports and specifications to meet budget and deadlines
- Supervise and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Apply experience in Science/Industry or Rail DAL contexts to project delivery
- Support work-winning activities including fee estimation and proposals
- Mentor and develop others through guidance and feedback
Key requirements
- Chartered Engineer (IMechE / CIBSE) with broad hands-on experience in Building Services
- Experience delivering complex projects with integration of renewables
- Ability to plan resources, manage budgets, and contribute to proposals
- Experience in detailed design stage in Science/Industry or Rail buildings across DAL
- Knowledge of energy and carbon performance optimization
- Familiarity with energy modelling tools (e.g., IES) and sustainability assessments
