Engagement Delivery Director – Public Sector (Project Management Director)

Overview

In this Director role, you lead the delivery of complex digital transformation programmes in the UK Public Sector. You collaborate with programme leadership, architects, delivery managers and customer executives to ensure end-to-end project success. You surface as the primary delivery contact, guiding governance and managing risks, budgets and dependencies. You also coach PMs and delivery managers to raise delivery excellence across large teams. This position offers impact on public services and a strategic role within Salesforce’s AI-enabled transformation agenda.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects from mobilisation to implementation with end-to-end accountability across teams of 30–100+ professionals
• Build trusted relationships with executive customer delivery leaders and act as the primary delivery contact
• Run steering committees, project boards and governance forums
• Establish governance and executive reporting; manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies; own financial forecasting, budget control, resource utilisation and change control
• Lead, coach and mentor project managers and delivery managers; promote delivery excellence and continuous improvement across the delivery organisation

Key requirements

• Significant experience delivering complex technology-enabled transformation projects within UK Government or the wider Public Sector
• Experience leading large-scale software implementation or digital transformation with 30–100+ professionals
• Experience managing project governance, planning, financials, budgets, forecasting, change control and executive reporting
• Experience engaging senior customer stakeholders and managing dependencies across multiple workstreams
