Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage technology projects within the Edinburgh AI Hub, guiding delivery from initiation to value realisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and external suppliers to align scope, quality, and timelines with business objectives. The role sits in a growing AI-focused team that drives innovative technology solutions across the organisation. You will shape delivery practices, support Agile and hybrid methods, and help sustain momentum on strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technology change initiatives for systems and business processes
• Manage project plans, governance, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to maintain delivery momentum and remove impediments
• Ensure transparent progress and risk communication to stakeholders
• Collaborate with technical teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and suppliers
• Support Agile ceremonies and hybrid delivery practices where appropriate
• Ensure projects align with wider portfolio objectives and strategic outcomes
• Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Proven experience delivering IT projects across the full software development lifecycle
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban) and hybrid delivery models
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building
• Pragmatic, root-cause problem-solving approach
• Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills
• Ability to contribute beyond core PM duties (analysis, planning, solution discussions)
• Resilient and able to maintain delivery momentum under pressure
• Decision-maker within defined project boundaries
• Track record of successful project delivery
