Senior Product Tax Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead tax input into product development for Aberdeen’s public market funds and oversee tax governance across launches, mergers and terminations. You’ll collaborate with Front Office, Distribution, Product, Finance, Operations and Legal to deliver practical tax solutions while strengthening controls. The role also drives adoption of AI-enabled and digital tools to boost efficiency and oversight, spanning multiple regions. This is a high-impact position within Finance, offering autonomy and opportunities to shape growth. You will work with senior stakeholders to ensure tax obligations are met and opportunities for improvement are realized.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax oversight for fund launches, mergers, terminations and broader product development activities.
• Provide technical tax support across Front Office, Distribution, Product, Finance, Operations and Legal teams.
• Build relationships with external advisers, custodians and fund administrators for tax governance and delivery.
• Maintain and enhance tax risk, control and compliance frameworks across the fund range.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled and digital solutions to improve efficiency, oversight and knowledge management.
• Lead or provide senior tax input into strategic projects involving funds, investments and investment management activities.

Key requirements

• CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA (professional qualification).
• Experience at Manager or Senior Manager level within asset management and product tax environments.
• Ability to communicate complex tax matters to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent digital and data literacy, including using AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborative, adaptable and proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
